We arrive at a pivotal moment. The stock market is experiencing a massive market gap. Young people and women are not finding their way to current trading structures. Right now, Fidelity, Scott Trade, and TDA are what Facebook was to its users in the beginning, stuck on their desktops yearning to break free. At one point, computer technology and social media shifted from desktop to mobile. The young audience shift from Facebook to Instagram has been transformative.
Why did this happen?
Facebook’s features and sub-features were too complex for a seamless mobile experience. The design didn't adapt well to the smaller screen. Amazing web applications that work well on a desktop can’t be shrunk. Fidelity and TDA did this with their mobile software, leaving a true optimized experience behind.
